Alternate Bluetooth stack?

Got my libretto a couple of weeks back and I'm loving it.  Very cool form factor, overall performance is way better than I was expecting, and the virtual keyboard which I was a bit worried about actually works pretty well.  There's one fly in the ointment though.  The Toshiba Bluetooth stack.  It's terrible.  Confusing, intrusive and just a general pain-in-the-ass.  Anyone know of any alternate stacks that will work with the libretto?  Even just the default Windows one would be ok, is it possible to leave the Toshiba drivers installed and switch back to the Windows stack?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Alternate Bluetooth stack?

I'm happy to say I've solved my own problem with the Bluetooth software. All that's necessary is to manually force the Bluetooth device in Device Manager to use the Microsoft Generic Bluetooth Device driver and Windows' own native Bluetooth functionality is restored. I think you lose some features that the Toshiba drivers offer like faster transfer rates but who uses Bluetooth for serious data transfer anyway?

How did you do that?

(I want to use "zeemote" together with w100)

Re: Alternate Bluetooth stack?

Go into the Device Manager and doubleclick the Bluetooth device under "Bluetooth Radios".  Click on the Drivers tab, then the Update Driver button.  Click "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".  You should get a short list of options, at least one should say "Generic Bluetooth Adapter".  Select it then click Next.  Windows will work for a bit, then you should get a message saying the driver was installed.  You should now be able to use the default Windows Bluetooth functionality.
