Re: how to install windows vista from recovery disc without formatting hard disk?

Hello, awnooo

The disc supplied with the computer is only capable of restoring the system to factory condition.  It does not contain a copy of Windows to install.  If you are having a problem with your Windows installation and do not want to lose data, you will have to purchase a retail copy of the same version of Windows shipped on your system.

Sorry for the bad news
