after installing win 8 consumer preview 32 bit.......i now see that my fn key is not working on my toshiba satellite c655-s5206

I believe that should be controlled by TVAP (Toshiba Value Added Package). Because Windows 8 isn't officially supported, there is no TVAP for Windows 8 currently. You could try downloading the one for Windows 7 to see if it will install, but I don't know if it will.

I got the FN keys to work (flashcards) by downloading toshiba value added package for windows 7 and running it in compatibility Windows 7 mode. Also, the instalation took ridiculously long (about an hour) consuming 30% cpu, but eventually it finished.

I keep getting "Setup TVAP error. [0x8146045B). Should I also use Win 8 as primary OS?
