Re: Windows 8 and Function Keys

Can you check the laptop's full model and part numbers from the label on the bottom? Don't include the serial number.

Did you use the Toshiba Upgrade Assistance when upgrading to Windows 8?

Re: Windows 8 and Function Keys

I'm trying to find the option window to make th F1-F12 keys the primary, instead of the Fn keys (brightness, volume, etc.)

But windows 8 is being obstinate about it, and all the online help I find works only for windows 7 (using the start menu, or Run) and I'm becoming frustrated.

I know there's an option to make the F1-F12 the primary function of those keys, but I can't find it.

Which computer? There is a label on the bottom.

How depends upon whether Windows 8 is preinstalled or not.
