Portege M600- No audio outout device is installed.

Hi,

I have insllaled (clean install) windows 7 x32 on laptop Toshiba Portege M600 (model: PPM60H-05500M).
After it I have the issue with Audio device.

In the system tray, the volume icon button is marked with X and it says that "No audio output device is installed.".
In device manager, I don't see any devices look like sound/audio.

I tried following but the issue was not resolved:
- install/reinstall drivers with Toshiba Software Installer for Windows 7:
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/downloadDetail.jsp?

- install/reinstall drivers from following web site:
http://support.toshiba-tie.co.jp/windows7/download/PORTEGE_M600_32_au.htm

- reinstall Windows 7

I wanted to update BIOS with latest version but I did not found right version of BIOS for that laptop.

I found only BIOS for M600 (model: PPM60A-035011) / for Vista x32:

Please guide me to resolve this problem.

Portege M600 (PPM60H-05500M)

It's a model from Korea.

Thanks for that Aussie reference. And you'll find PPM60L at the Asian site.

It appears the US and European sites have no model in part-number family PPM60x.
