Yeah.... The title is what i'm trying to setup. Problem is the tv never flickers/shows any signs of connection, other than the laptop's display (resolution menu) lists the monitor as a viziohdtv.... but beyond that it never connects. I've try all the fn stuff, i've tried clone/extended. I've restarted with it plugged in/turned off so on and so forth.
What I've detirmened the problem to be is a driver one. So I go to the toshiba website and look up the model and I find...... Nothing for model "c655-s5512" So... whatsup?
Can I get a hook up with some drivers or something? Cause I'd really like to get it hooked up for my dad.\

Can you tell me the notebook's model-part number? It should be on the label on the bottom along with the model number, and it should start with a 'P'.
Try one of these.
Before you install them, you might want to create a System Restore point because I'm not sure of your model.

Thank you very much for the info, I'll give a go next time i'm over. Hopefully it is just a driver problem and I can get it going.
