Screen cracked

Hello all,

My name is Ricky Harrell, and I am new to forums. I'll keep this very brief. Earlier today, the screen on my Satellite L455D-S5976 was cracked by a fork (of all the things). It isn't a huge crack, it probably isn't all that noticeable, but it is VERY annoying to look at! My question is  what should can I do in regards to fixing this. Is this something covered by warranty? Would I need to send this in for repair, or can it be replaced by myself? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Screen cracked

If you have the standard warranty it would not be covered by it, but it might be covered if you bought the extended warranty.

You can buy a replacement screen from www.sparepartswarehouse.com

This site will give you an idea of how to replace it even though they do not list your specific machine.
