I am working on a friend's Satellite for her. Her laptop will power on (fan running, power light on, CD-rom powering on), but the screen remains black. I cannot hear the hard drive initialize. There is no BIOS information that displays. Nothing displays on the screen and I cannot get the display to output to an external monitor using the Fn+F5 keys. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately it sounds like her computer needs servicing.
