L770D-BT5N11 Video problems Black Screen

Hi, I have now had this laptop for about 8 months, and i still have an issue when coming back from sleep the backlight on the screen does not illuminate to full power and the flash card associated with screen brightness does not work. I do not konw if this is a BIOS or a Display driver problem. Either way it is unacceptable to still be using AMD display drivers that are almost a year old, AMD releases updated drivers regularly, yet for this PC AMD tells me i must get the driver directly from Toshiba, which has not been updated since 2011. Additionally this may be a BIOS error, and again the same issue, no BIOS updates have been released for over 1.5 years for this model. IM severely dissapointed in the Toshiba support recently as there never seems to be any updates released.

Try this. Turn off your laptop, unplug all wires, remove the battery, and hold the power button for thirty seconds. Afterwards, reattach the battery and connections.

Then reinstall TVAP.
