L655 - S 5072 display resolution changed

I bought this Laptop a month ago. Yesterday I saw a sudden change of screen resolution where the resolution looks really low. In the property the display set to 'Mobile PC display', the resolution set to '1366x768'  and this is the highest resolution.

Any idea what's wrong with the display and how can this be brought back to earlier resolution?

Satellite L655-S5072

I saw a sudden change of screen resolution ... the resolution set to '1366x768'

As you can see from the specs above, 1366 x 768 is the native resolution of that screen. Don't know what you had before, but this is the best one.

Maybe you can explain further...

Thanks for your reply with the info. Okay ,that is why system restore did not do any good. I am beginning to think its a hardware issue.

Display looks really grainy. Kind of like when you start in safe mode. I do notice some flickering now and then.

Yes, it does sound like a hardware problem.

To confirm, Toshiba may ask you to restore the hard disk to its original factory-new contents using Toshiba recovery media.
