There is a label on the bottom. What is the part number?
What is the service-pack level of your Windows Vista?

All your drivers are here. Bookmark that URL.
If you have 32-bit Windows Vista, try reinstalling this camera driver.

I has tried to download it and install it, but still errors.
Did you succeed installing it? No errors?
If so, try removing the driver first. Open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc), expand Imaging devices, right-click the Chicony device, and click Uninstall. Then reboot and reinstall.
Which version of Windows Vista do you have? What is the service-pack level?
Do you keep Windows up-to-date using Windows Update? There are reports that this helps the webcam situation.

I have the same problem, my Chicony webcam doesn't appear at device manager....I think my lap doesn't know that have a webcam! I tried EVERYTHING! And looked EVERYWHERE!..Also a did the "recovery operation" twice like the out box and the problem still...When I try to start the webcam appear something like this:" webcam driver open failed. Please restart camera or computer"...It always appear! Even though I reboot my lap!
What Can I do???
Thanks in advance.....

Have you tried moving lid toward closed position and seeing if camera goes on? There is a manufacturing defect with the cable between the lid and the motherboard. It is not a software or driver problem.
