Forums Purpose
The Toshiba Forums are a set of public discussion boards, provided as a platform for Toshiba customers to share tips, ideas and information with each other about how to get the most value and enjoyment out of Toshiba computers and consumer electronics.
Please note that Toshiba Forums members are a community of customers, not an official avenue of customer service or technical support. If you require assistance from Toshiba, please call the Toshiba Customer Support Center at 1-800-457-7777.
Forums Organization
The forums are organized into topical categories and message boards. Categories provide the high-level organizational structure on a broad topic, and the categories contain message boards on more specific topics within each category.
The organization of categories and message boards change and evolve over time. Message boards are added as popular topics sustain a high level of interest and message activity, and message boards may be removed if interest in the topic category lessens.
If a message board is removed, its messages will be moved into a general topic area, not deleted. There will always be generalized message boards for discussions that do not have high enough activity levels to sustain their own dedicated message boards.
About Messages
If you're new here, and you probably are if you're reading this, then you may want to browse around the various categories and message boards to become familiar with the territory. If you like the idea of browsing, but want to focus in on a specific topic, see the 'Detailed Forums Organization' message to narrow down where you want to browse.
If you're looking for specific information then your best bet may be to use the search feature.
As always when searching, if you get too many results that seem to not be what you're interested in, try adding search terms to more specifically target your interest. If you get too few results or none at all, try reducing your search terms to allow a more broad set of search results. There is also an excellent Advanced Search feature that you may want to check out.
If you can't find what you're looking for, the forums may do not contain that information. Consider that to be your golden opportunity to get more actively involved in the forums by starting a new topic and asking other forum members for help with the information you're looking for. And while you're at it, if you see any message threads on topics where you have a bit of expertise, you're encouraged to "pay it forward" by helping others out.
Give and take of knowledge and information between forum members is what this community is all about, so if you see a chance to help and have a spare moment, jump right in.

Don't be shy. If you have a question, ask it. If you can answer someone else's question, please speak up and help out.
Be nice to others. Every question will have an answer that seems obvious to someone. That's one of the great strengths of community. So if you have an answer, contribute to the value of this community and reward the participation of the questioner by responding in a friendly and informative tone.
