I have a Toshiba 40RL838 and would like to connect my computer to it.

Unfortunately, my computer doesn't send sound via HDMI cable. I've read on some forums that it is sometimes possible to send the sound via a separate cable (composite).

I've set up the tv this way, but even if image and audio are both correctly sent (I can see video on HDMI input and hear the audio as soon as I switch to composite input) I'm unable to have them both at the same time.

Anybody knows how this can be accomplished?

I don't see a TV with that model number. If it's from another region other than the US, you should contact Toshiba in your region.
