I bought Toshiba smart TV because I trust Toshiba products, but their smart Tv truly lacks very important apps like amazon prime and a browser to browse the net. If Toshiba did not include those apps in their next software update for the Tv, I would seriously consider switching to Samsung or LG !

My wife just purchased a L3400 today. The display model at the store had significantly more apps than ours does and she was told by the sales person that it is possible to download apps onto this model. Were we misled?

Yes,until your warranty runs out. Then nothing will work. I have a very strong wifi connection and can enter the WWW through my toshiba at lightening speed, but till the netflix app gets upgraded, we can't watch netflix. All I can say, XBOX for the win!

i know this is an old thread but i have to say this about the L4300 i bought a few years ago...
1) constantly drops internet connection and does not remember the password so i have to manually add the password several times a month. i have had my internet and network connections checked several times and i am confident its the tv.
2) it has 2-3 useful apps and then a small handful of useless apps that will never get opened once while providing NO way add new apps, it is a sad excuse for smart tv.
3) apps are only added by toshiba at updates... i have seen many updates, never any new apps.
i have to consider this model of tv to be an example of your overall quality and attention to detail so sadly this will be the last Toshiba product i buy.
