How do I disable the Built-in speakers on a 46SL417U? Want to use a soundbar.

My remote turns up the TV volume along with the soundbar. I need to disable the TV speakers. Thanks.

You need to simply lower the volume all the way.

Peter that is completely incorrect.

It depends on how you have the soundbar setup.  There are settings to disable the speakers in the "audio" menu.  If you have it set up via HDMI, you can also press the quick button on your remote and change the setting from tv speakers to amplifier.

Settings of what? TV or Soundbar. I use Optical cable. Any way to turn off the TV sound? My TV model is 40E220U

On that model, the speakers can only be disabled if using an HDMI audio system as far as I know. When using an optical cable, you'd need to turn down the speakers on the TV.
