Tecra Laptops

Brand new out of the box.
Toshiba Tectra R850-S8511
Windows 7 64bit.
Lastest bios.

Once in a while the screen will turn into static
and the fan comes on and then the laptop will shutdown.

If it were mine, I would be on the way back to where I bought it!

It is static electricity that is causing it. When I touch the left mouse button with my finger the static discharges and the screen goes crazy.

Calling tech support.

Sent the laptop back to Toshiba Depot for repair. Got it back but it's still doing the same thing.
Going to send the laptop back to TigerDirect.

Has anyone found another solution to this problem?  I have a Tecra R940 from Toshiba direct that does the same thing.  It works fine much of the time, then (usualy at the worst moment) the screen just goes crazy.  Like static, or snow, just like the picture posted.  When it happens I lose everything.  I even had it serviced at a local repair center (at Toshiba's request) and they replaced the cable, but it still happens!  I am VERY frustrated!  I need my computer for work and I can't wait while this one is shipped to Toshiba for weeks of repair.
