Remove software

Setting up my neighbors Tecra R950. I am amazed at the number of Toshiba related programs running. What can I remove and still have a basic functioning PC? See photo. I removed Norton. It does not show in the photo but something called Symantec Service Framework is loading. Why? Can I disable the service?
