Any particular reason that the Thrive can't connect to ad-hoc signal? If MODs can make them work, why is Toshiba keeping the TT from this?

My assumption is that it's a particular license for the wireless card driver that toshiba wasn't willing or didn't feel a need to provide. The mods provided are an updated 'driver' (I use the term driver loosely) that has adhoc available.
