You can update the system software (firmware) or upgrade the operating system (if available) on the tablet using one of of the following methods:
IMPORTANT:
- Your tablet must be plugged in to a power source in order to complete this installation.
- You must have an internet connection.
- It is recommended that you remove all devices from the USB port and the SD Card slot before initiating this update.
- You will be unable to use your tablet for the duration of the install, which is expected to take a few minutes.
Android 3.0 (Honeycomb)
- Tap on the update message sent by the Toshiba Service Station application to your device.
OR
- From the Home screen, tap on the “Apps” icon in the upper right corner.
- Locate the “Service Station” icon and application.
- Tap “Check for Updates” and follow the on-screen instructions.
- The software updates automatically, and your tablet will power off and on as part of this update.
Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- Tap on the update message sent by the Toshiba Service Station application to your device.
OR
- From the Home screen, tap on the “Apps” icon in the upper right corner.
- Locate the “Service Station” icon and application.
- If no updates are displayed, tap "Check for Updates" to check for availble updates.
- Select the desired update (if displayed) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- The software updates automatically, and your tablet will power off and on as part of this update.
OR
- From the Home screen, tap on the “clock” in the lower right corner.
- Tap the clock a second time.
- Tap “Settings”.
- On the left, scroll down to "About Tablet".
- Select "System Updates" from the main screen. This opens the Toshiba Service Station.
- If no updates are displayed, tap "Check for Updates" to check for availble updates.
- Select the desired update (if displayed) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- The software updates automatically, and your tablet will power off and on as part of this update.
