factory reset

Hi I have a Satellite A205 - S5859 and every time I start my laptop it goes to a black screen showing just the cursor.  If I push CRT/alt/del it will allow me to log out and then log in.  The first initial start up did not allow me to log in just in case that comes up.  Anyway when I log in everything comes up but it says that there is a problem with my internet explorer and will not let me get on the new.  Yes I am connected to a wireless connection.

So my question is how do I do a factory reset on my laptop because when I got it, it didn't have a disk..And no unfortunately I didn't make a recovery disk to begin with.  I have Windows Vista home addition too BTW.  Please help if you can done all I can think and I would like any outside help.
