My brother was using his new C650D (win 7 64) when tech spam called and convinced him to go to their site

and download software which allowed them to take remote control, then proceeded to convince him he had

problems and then asked for money. Finally after they asked for money he got smart and got off the phone.

Will using the software recovery image stored on the hard disk eliminate any software that may have been downloaded by these spam techs? If not then would ordering and installing the recovery disks work?
