Satellite Pro Laptops

My Satellite Pro 420 CDT was working just fine until today when the display on the laptop cme up blank and white.  I hooked up an external LCD monitor and rebooted the system.  The Win95 OS booted up and was displayed properly on the LCD but not on the laptop.  The vido adapter is a Chips and Technologies, Accelerator (new).  Using standard drivers = chips95.drv, *vdd, *vflatd, dhips95.vxd, schtdd32 (from Advanced Display Properties).  All is well in Device Mangager - no yellow icons, no problems.

Need to get my laptop display working properly.  Do I need new display driver?  Do I have a bad screen in the laptop?  

Any help will be appreciated.

If you want to try reinstalling the display driver, it's this one:

Windows 95 Display Driver for C&T 6555x(v1.0B1; 03-02-1998; 170K)

However, it's my guess that it's a hardware failure with the internal LCD screen.
