drivers for P755-S5120

Hi. I basically need help locating the drivers download link for my Satellite P755-S5120. For some reason, as of this writing, the downloads section does not show this specific model number and I need to reinstall the operating system (not restore to factory default). I'va attached a acreenshot of how the site looks like when I do a search for P755-S5120. Hope somebody can help me. Thanks!

Satellite P755-S5120

Apparently made for Walmart/Best Buy/Costco/Home Depot/..

Give us the part number for that computer. It looks something like PSAY3U-0VL036.

You should find it on a label on the bottom and also here.

Start > All Programs > Toshiba > Utilities > PC Diagnostic Tool

Thanks for responding. As a matter of fact, I did bought this computer from BestBuy 2 days ago. The model part number is PSAY1U-0DV026.

Thanks!

Satellite P755-S5120 (PSAY1U-0DV026)

All models in the same part-number family (PSAY1U in this case) are essentially the same. So downloads are basically the same.

That would include the following four models. Compare the specs. The last one has an i7 processor like yours. So it's probably the closest.

Satellite P755-S5215 (PSAY1U-011006)

Satellite P755-S5265 (PSAY1U-00V005)

Satellite P755-S5320 (PSAY1U-02K026)

Satellite P755-S5390 (PSAY1U-03W027)

Re: drivers for P755-S5120

Wonderful! I appreciate your help, Jerry. But I am still puzzled how they could sell a computer and not have it on their product list? I mean, how's a regular consumer with limited technical knowledge supposed to be able to figure that out.

Btw, is it also safe to use any of those laptops' BIOS firmware upgrade in case one comes out in the future?

Re: drivers for P755-S5120

It's not at all unusual, Mike. If you search these forums, you'll find lots of examples. On the other hand, don't be surprised if that model turns up here in a few days.

The BIOS is identical among a part-number family. In fact you'll frequently see them offered that way. This one is for two families.

I need to reinstall the operating system..

I do want to mention that things do not always go smoothly when you install Windows and add the drivers and utilities.

If your intention is to upgrade from the Home Premium edition, there is a much better way.

Re: drivers for P755-S5120

I am, in fact, planning on upgrading to Ultimate edition. If you can share some information or the steps as to how I can perform this, I'd truly appreciate it.

Thanks very much!

Re: drivers for P755-S5120

Windows Home Premium already contains Windows Ultimate, Mike. No need to install anything. You just need to unlock more features.
