Satellite Laptops :: all other models

I have a Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4840 laptop which I have downgraded to Windows XP. Everything works perfect except that I have no sound and cannot locate the drivers. The sound hardware is ATI IXP SB600 High Definition Audio Controller. The Toshiba drivers page has nothing for the sound on the website, can anyone help?

Thanks for the driver link, I downloaded it and ran the file, it unzips and begins the installation and then fails - giving me the error: "Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver." Every time I boot up the laptop Windows XP sees the "PCI Device" and asks for a driver, allowing Windows to go online and search also turns up nothing - checking in device manager shows that all the audio codecs are installed, just no audio controller.

Any thoughts?

Notice that some machines are on both lists. I can't explain why it didn't install.

Hi again,

Thanks for the assistance... the second driver you gave me also did not work... same error message. However, upon checking again in the device manager, I saw that my sound card hardware had changed from "PCI Device" with a yellow question mark to "High Defintion Audio Bus" or something simular with a red X. I right clicked and enabled it and it went back to a yellow question mark. Then I installed again the first driver you gave me and this time it did not give the error and went into the setup menu and I was able to successfully install the driver. Everything is now working fine and I have audio.
