Satellite Laptops :: all other models

I have a Satellite P105-S661 and I'm trying to use the Memory Card Reader with the Sony Pro Duo and an adapter.  The drive shows up under "My Computer", however when I try and open it I get a notification of "Please insert a disk into Drive F".  I've verified that the stick is in the adapter and is properly seated.  I can view the stick when I insert it into a 3rd Party Memory Card reader via USB.  

Has anyone had similar problems and how have you surpassed this obtacle.
