Just want to verify if this BIOS is compatible with my L755-S5217 BIOS.I've read a lot about failed BIOS updates for Satellite laptops so I do'nt update it using the earlier releases.By the way my BIOS is currently version 2.0 i'm afraid i'm gonna mess with my laptop.

I assume you mean S5271, not S5217. Unfortunately, you didn't link to a particular download. You linked to the general support page for that product. However, yes, the BIOS listed on a model's support page should be compatible with it. Even so, I would recommend you do not update unless you need to update it to fix an on-going issue.

it's S5217 but it's not listed in the product support of toshiba.yes i dont have any issues so thank you very much Peter now i know that i dont need to update my BIOS.

ACDC, if you give me your part number (which should also be on the bottom of your laptop), I should be able to get you the link to your model's support page (in case you need it in the future).

Satellite L755-S5217 (PSK1WU-08J004)

Satellite L755-S5271 (PSK1WU-06W004)

Because they are in the same part-number family (PSK1WU), the downloads should be the same.
