Spilled coffee on screen

Hello - I have a Satellite A215 and spilled coffee - some got behind screen and left a stain (not opaque) diagonally across half of it. Computer seems to be functioning OK - Can this be cleaned?

Re: Spilled coffee on screen

Depends on how careful you are when you attempt it.  One slip and you'll have to replace it.

This guide tells you how to get the panel out.

This guide tells how one person fixed similar damage on a Dell, but the basics should apply.

Depending on how technically savvy and adventerous you are and how much you budget you have to work with it might be about as cheap to just replace the entire laptop or hool that one up to an external monitor if you don't need the portability.
