C55-A5300 boot from USB

Having a real issue with my laptop not wanting to boot from USB.

Steps taken:

    1. Disabled security boot (option doesnt show up with CSM boot?)

    2. Made sure Fast Boot is disabled

    3. Switched from UEFI to CSM boot

    4. Updated firmware (1.2o)

    5. Am using F12 to select my media to boot from

Am able to boot from media on another device.

I said screw it to the USB installation.

Popped the HD into my desktop.

Re: C55-A5300 boot from USB

this seems like a major issue with the latest 1.1 bios release.   see this thread
