I sent my laptop to Tohiba on February 6 and authorized the repair on the 8th. Last Wednesday, (a week later) I was told that the part just arrived and it should be repaired and shipped within 2 days. When it still said the repair was pending on Friday I e-mailed Toshiba to find the status. I haven't heard anything yet. Does it normally take this long to get a minor repair? I though the mauacturer wold dobetter than a local repair shop, but now I am rethinking..

The repair is now waiting more than three weeks on a simple repair of a known issue on satellite laptops -a faulty heat sink. When I spoke to them last week, they could not give me an estimated date of completion. This week, I can't even get through to the repaitrr line. I left two messages, with no response yet.
