I HAVE TOSHIBA SATELITE A505
IS ONLY 3 MONTHS SINCE I BOUGHT IT AND I HAD TO FORMAT IT ONCE ALREADY
SINCE I FORMAT IT I CAN USE HDMI CAUSE THE SOUND REMAINS ON THE LAPTOP.
ONLY VIDEO IS TRANSERED TO MY TV.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY?
IS IT CAUSE OF THE FORMAT?
OR DO I HAVE TO RESET SOME SETTINGS??
ANYWAY,IF ANYONE KNOWS IM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS...

thanks but i followed this:
Go to the lower right corner of the desktop, in the system tray.
Right click the Speaker Volume icon (RealTek High Definition Audio)
Choose Playback Devices
Double-Click on RealTek HDMI Output
Check that it's enabled, the level is 100%, etc.
Also make sure the volume isn't muted anywhere, it does play sound through the laptop speakers?
i cant find "RealTek HDMI Output" to click it....
why sounds comes from my laptop and HDMI "sends" only video to my TV????
it wasnt like this before....

Have you checked the settings under sound in control panel?

Hey if you haven't already figured out how to fix the problem, we figured it out. We were having that same problem...but if you right click on the speakers just like the last forum said, then check the show disabled devices option. This should make the HDMI speakers show up. Hope this helps.
