wont connect to wifi

i put a new hard drive in my toshiba satellite l505-s5988 due to the other one not working. i put windows vista on it but it will not connect to my wifi. i have pluged it in to my router and it still wont work. i dont have any recovery cds. please help me.

i have done everything it says to do but to no avail.

You can obtain recovery discs from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery media here.

Unless the hardware is broken, it should.

 

But if the new hard drive uses advanced-format technology, you may need to install a new storage driver.

Google the drive's model number.

ok it says it does have advanced format  so do i need to do both of the things you said or just one  if i have to do the intel thing which one do i download and how do i do it to a thumb drive

Be prepared to install the Intel RST from a thumb drive. Read what it says on the site.

 

You can download the Windows update later.

 

You don't even have the recovery discs yet!

i tried to install the intel rst but it said it was not supported on my device.   what now?
