satellite U205-S5057 wireless switch

My computer doesn't recognize my network because the wireless switch is turned off.  Pressing the switch (on the side next to USB port) doesn't do anything.  What am I doing wrong?

Re: satellite U205-S5057 wireless switch

There shoudl be a light next to an icon that looks like an antenna, the Wi-Fi light.  Does that light come on when you move the switch?  (I thought most units had a switch not a button, but i don't know about the U205).

Also try the Fn+F8 key combination to activate or deactivate the Wi-Fi.

Satellite U205-S5057

Pressing the switch (on the side next to USB port) doesn't do anything.

The wireless on/off switch on that model is in the center on the right side above the optical drive. There are no USB ports on the right side.

See the section Wireless networking problems on p. 207 of the Satellie U200/U205 Series User's Guide.
