Hi.

How to I turn on the BlueTooth on my X505 Qosmio laptop?

I have installed the Bluetooth Stack 7.10.01 - TC00201800O driver but when I run the 'BlueTooth Assistant' it says 'installing the bluetooth driver' then a dialog messages appears saying 'Please plug in the Bluetooth device and click OK button. OK   Cancel'. 'Ok' does nothing. If I press if the message reapears.

I looked into BIOS and there is no option to turn on/off the bluetooth. Also the bluetooth does not appear in my Device Manager.

I know that Bluetooth can be enabled using the Cards (Fn + F10) but I hate that software so I don't have it installed.

Which Qosmio X505? There is a label on the bottom.

According to the spec above, there is no Bluetooth hardware in that model. Toshiba includes the stack in case you add their hardware.

   Toshiba Bluetooth USB Nano Adapter

If you like that one, google the part number for other prices.

Oh great.

I just spent a night trying to debug something that I don't have. The CD of drivers received from Toshiba really played the trick on me.
