I did this too. After a day, I had the same problem as you.
I took a hair drier and worked it over the keyboard (not too close, just enough to have warm dry air blowing on the keys). I did it for about 5 minutes, and then I let it sit for a few hours.
When I turnede it on, it has worked fine since.
This is what I did, doesn't mean it is the right or best way to do it, but it work for me.
