Hi,

How can I disable the touchpad but not the accupoint on Tecra A11?

Thanks by your help.

Best regards

Re: Disable touchpad only

What's the full model number? "A11" is only partial. There should be a sticker on the bottom.

Re: Disable touchpad only

Toggling the touchpad by holding FN and pressing F9 shouldn't do anything to the pointer.

Re: Disable touchpad only

Peter,

Fn+F9 disables both of them, touchpad and accupoint.

Joe, I notice your ALPS driver is for both Windows 7 and XP. Possibly, this still applies.

Re: Disable touchpad only

Jerry,

It works. A few differences because Windows 7.

-Mouse properties

  - expansion tab

       -configure expansion function

             -select device

                      -clear the touchpad box

Thanks by your help

Re: Disable touchpad only

Sorry about the misinformation, but I'm glad Jerry got it working for you. On the Protege I'm using here, Fn+F9 disables only the touchpad.

Re: Disable touchpad only

Oh God, you just saved my life!  Truly, the touchpad was really driving me nuts.  The fn+F9 solution worked for me.  It helped to know that I could use it to toggle the touchpad off and on in case I didn't have my mouse with me and needed to use it temporarily.
