I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and have only had it for 5 months. Everything works great on it until recently my computer will not let me download anything from the internet. When I try to click save the file ..it does not save and does not download. I am not sure what happened to my computer? Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Which Satellite? There is a label on the bottom.
Tell us about a sample link that won't download.
Exactly what happens when you right-click in Internet Explorer and click Save Target As in the pop-up menu?
What anti-virus program do you use?

I'm having this same problem...I have the Satellite L675-S7115. When I get any email with an attachment or go to the internet to download it will not allow me to download or save the file to the computer. The message remains on the bottom of the screen until I log off the internet and return. I can sometimes view the file on-line such as a word or excel doc. but can't download. I'm using Kaspersky virus software. The computer started doing this about 4 months ago and I've been able to use my desktop as a work around. I haven't changed virus protection and I've gone to the control panel to see if the security was set low enough for me to get the downloads. If anyone has any advise please help. Did the original poster ever find a solution? Thanks

try disabling your antivirus and then test to see if you can download something. I'f you can, then you need to change the settings in your antivirus. If you still cannot download even with the antivirus disabled, try disabling the firewall, and perform same test. post back results.
