Some online videos won't play on my new toshiba laptop

I recently bought a new entry-level Toshiba laptop at Best Buy.

Youtube videos play, but others, such as ColbertNation and metacafe, do not.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash player, even loaded the beta

64-bit version of flash.

Tech support from toshiba spent hours trying to figure this out.

we've disabled popups, installed all three browsers, tried everthing to get those specific videos to work.

Any thoughts as to why they won't play?

We just get a black screen, not even an icon.

Have you tried all of these (in IE)?
