I have a NB 305 N440BL and have the computer set to hibernate when I close the lid. After updating windows this feature no longer works and I have to shut down the computer and then restart with the computer telling me it shut down unexpectedly. If I restore the computer to before the updates occurred this is rectified. This started happening with updates in April. Do I need to accept the updates? or is there some specific update that is causing this. It also seems to upset my antivirus software constantly telling me the signature is out of date but when I check it is up to date. Any helpers?

Let's nail down the culprit, Amanda.
Set Automatic Update to Off.
Arrange to accept the updates one at a time. Reboot and test after each one.
Never permit Windows Update to change a device driver. Get those from Toshiba.
