Mouse Issues/ problems

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1800 model #ps181c-00wzx (yes it is old, but up till now it's been a tank.)

I am starting to have issues with the curser. It will either go to the top right or bottom left and stay there. No matter what i try with the touch pad, plug in mouse, or usb mouse, it does the same thing. I have to let the unit sit for a couple of days before it will go back to normal, but eventually it goes wonkey on me again. Is this something that can be remedied?, or should i start to look for another laptop :smileysad:

Won't hurt to reinstall the driver.
