Can't adjust screen brightness.

On my Tecra R840-S830, I recently reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit and I thought I installed the drivers I needed. My flashcard functions are working perfectly except that FN-F6 and FN-F7 will not adjust the screen brightness. I can also find no other way to adjust the brightness-It doesn't appear in power options or display settings. Any ideas? Am I missing a specific driver?

Maybe this one?

Instead of struggling to get the install order correct, you should restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media.

Re: Can't adjust screen brightness.

I don't really see how this is supposed to help me. It's a list of technical specs for the laptop. It lists some things that look like they might be drivers, but they don't coorespond to anything available on the site. I'm sensitive to light and the current brightness of my R840-S8430 is giving me headaches. I can't use toshiba recovery media because I have a replacement harddrive.

An actual solution would be greatly appreciated!

If you have neglected to burn the recovery media, obtain it from Toshiba.
