I go to Service Station and download this update just fine, but when I try to install it, my system reboots, then I get the android "robot" lying down with an exclaimation point in a triangle, and the update never gets installed.

Service Station is able to download the update but when I press update I keep getting connect to external power message, even though the plug is connected and showing that its charging.

Have you tried rebooting the tablet? Hold the power button down until options appear and then power off the tablet fully. Wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on again.

For models in the USA, you need to perform all the updates sequentially. If your Excite 10 isn't a Toshiba USA model, the policies could be different.

I have the same issue. Rebooted, battery fully charged and plugged into AC adapter.
Still insists it needs plugged it.
I even removed the SD card.
I've run out of ideas here.
Even flushed the update download and redownloaded it, nope, same result.

I have updated my Excite 10 AT300...and what I got? an error on my TABLET that says Booting Failed unrecoverable bootloader error (0x00000008). Toshiba doen´t provide support for software issues...either if it comes with THEIRE updates?? I´m really pissed off guys...
Surprisingly I have been able to access android system recovery by pressing pwr button + volume up at the same time. The thing is that I have tryed to go back to factory reset and nothing. Still there is an option that says apply update from external storage and am wondering what happens if I can get 4.0.3.01.000041114 First manufacturing system image and apply this? Should I be able to recover my system?
Please help me!! What can I do?

I have not used my tablet in a short while till I turned it on last night. Ran the update and everything seemed to install fine. Now my tablet will not connect to my router. It worked fine before the update, that's how I downloaded it. My router shows on the tablet, tried reentering the password, hit the easy connect button on the router, and rebooted the router. Nothing seems to work. The tablet says Authentication Problem. Any help you could give would be great.

Sounds as if there are issues with your WiFi password (network security code). Try deleting the WiFi connection on the tablet and rebuilding it. Remember that the password is case sensitive.

I have now done a full factory reset of my device. I have not installed one single app. I went to the Service Station to download (and install) this update. It still does not install. It gets "hung up" with that "android guy" laying down, with a red exclaimation point in his chest... Any ideas yet? I first reported on this 3 months ago, and ZERO feedback

My past experience with Customer Support is that the only "solutions" they offer is a factory reset, or send device in. The device works fine with the current system software, it is only your update that does not function. I would claim the problem is not my device, but some problem with your system update software, seeing as it did not work for me even after the system reset to factory specs.

I tried to update , it downloaded the file , but when I try to install it, my system reboots, then I get the android "robot" lying down with an exclaimation point in a triangle, and the update never gets installed.
