Excite Tablets

Trying to set up Skype and when I call the call testing ctr I here crackling in my audio (not theirs). I've tried turning off all the sound and multimedia enhancement, but still the audio is unacceptable.

Any ideas!

Are you using the built in mic and speakers, or the line-in?

As a note, I've had skype crash my tablet several times (causing the tablet to completely reboot automatically).  I think it's a bit unstable.

Just using the inbuilt mic and speakers. I haven not tried the in-line headset jack as yet.

I ran some internet speed tests and found that my upload speed is down to around 750kb. It used to be higher. I will take the tablet to another location with higher upload speed to test that possibility.

This problem appears to be resolved in ICS.

Downloaded and installed last night and 'viola all is well.

Skype is working flawlessly even with video.
