Hello,

I am using a Satellite A135-S4407 and recently had an issue where the Supervisor Password Utility is prompting me during startup witha  message box that allows me to enable the password or disable it.  However, I did not do anything to initiate this prompt and cannot get the utility to quit running at every startup.  I do not currently have any passwords set and have owned the laptop for 3 years before ever seeing this prompt.  Is there some way to disable this from the boot cycle?

Click on 'Start - All Programs - Startup' and see what's in there, the exe file for this is: svpwutil.exe; delete, or at least move, the shortcut from here.  Also, again click on 'Start' and type in   msconfig.exe   and click on this file.  Click on the 'Startup' tab and look for the svwputil.exe file again, take the check mark off this. Then try to restart your computer and see if this has resolved your problem.

I used your method to fix my problem on A205-S5000 and it worked fine.
