Satellite Pro L670-1CZ (PSK3BE-00W00VGR)

What are you doing when the error appears?

What peripherals do you have attached? In particular, a smart card reader?

Does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Start your computer in safe mode

Any information in Device Manager (devmgmt.msc)?

Most important, what changes have you made just before the problem appeared?

Please attach a picture of the message.

blue screens..

Please attach corresponding *.dmp files from the C:\Windows\Minidump folder.

And carefully follow these instructions..

Note the computer-clock time of such an error. Open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc), expand Windows Logs, and inspect the Application and System logs for the corresponding event (at that exact time). Don't try to copy anything from there. Double-click the event and then click the Copy button. That will put the details on your clipboard. Paste it without editing into your reply or an attachment - except we want only what's above the line Event Xml:.

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device TOSHIBA\GPS2\3564000305669800_09

It's the 3G that's giving the message. Does it work?

Let's try reinstalling these.

   Ericsson 3G Driver, R6A06, 22/07/11

Toshiba 3G RF Power Control Utility, 1.4.0.10, 05/01/11

If that doesn't fix things, open Device Manager (devmgmt.msc) and look around for yellow splotches.

Last time I used the 3G it was working. The blue screens began a little after I started using the 3G.

There was a Mcaffe Antivirus in my laptop but I unistall it after It expired. I now use the Bitdefender.

[ Edited ]

ok after I closest the computer for about an hour and turned it on back again It crashed 3 times before I turned back off again. After a couple of minutes I turned it on again and it booted normaly.

I attach the minidump, it is from the first crash and blue screen.

I checked also the Event logger and I have again two events like the above one.. I will unistall the the devices that you recommended.

EDIT: I see now at the Device manader that I dont have a device with this name. I have this one: "Ericsson F3607gw TOSHIBA Mobile Broadband Network adapter" and "Ericsson F3607gw TOSHIBA Mobile Broadband Modem".

EDIT2: I now noticed that the drivers that you posted are new. I will install them

Re: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device TOSHIBA\GPS2\3564000305669800_09.

Hi

I have been having similar issues ever since I got my R700. The PC hangs briefly then the fan goes berserk (assume CPU at 1000%) and nothing will reset except power off....

A common Warning in Event viewer is the one in the title of this thread.

A really annoying problem

I have tried many diagnostics, and posted on the UK site also, but to no avail. http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=60205

At one point I did a complete rebuild from Toshiba recover discs, and before I had loaded very much at all this was happening again - so my much is it something to do with the base build and Windows 7.

What is TOSHIBA\GPS2\3564000305669800_09.  ???? And can I disable it?

I do now use McAfee, but for the first build I had, when I still had these issues, I deinstalled it straight away and used Avast, with exact same symptoms, so I do no believe is an AV issue.

Similarly I thought may be to do with Smartphone connection, but this happens regardless of whether connected or not.

Same with docking - it happens both docked and undocked.

I am at a loss, and this is a properly annoying issue, so any help gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Any thoughts or help gratefully received.

Re: The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device TOSHIBA\GPS2\3564000305669800_09.

I have since done a bit more digging....

tried starting the TOshiba GPS Utility, but it would not load "Communication with Module lost" (ss1)

following the help went to Device Manager, found a Smart Card Reader "Ericsson F3607gw for TOSHIBA Mobile Broadband USIM Port" (ss2)

when I view properties it says "No drivers are installed for this device" (ss3)

however when I try to update the driver I am told all drivers are up to date?! :-S (ss4)

is this part of the problem?

I dont even use mobile broadband - I did disable the adapater a few days ago as it happens but this did not stop the error

If after restoring the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media you get the same problem, then it's safe to assume the software is not involved. You have a hardware malfunction.

Thanks. But which hardware?! I tried disabling the smart card device but still got the issue?

I'm a Windows specialist. Don't know anything about hardware. Maybe somebody smarter will jump in.

Cheers buddy.

Still not clear about the "no drivers" / "drivers up to date" issue tho :-S

same here.

I just got a bluscreen. The second after I updated the gps2 drivers, that was mentioned above. I am begining to believe that it is a hardware problem too. I attach the minidum files. The second blue screen happened out of the blue, as I was surfing the net.

I have the computer for only 4 months. It is a really hard thing to setup everything back again. A lot of applications are needed to installed again. I will see what I am gonna do, maybe next week....
