When a click on the web camera application,this pops up  C:\Program Files (x86)\TOSHIBA Web Camera Application\ TWebCamera.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe for detail.

the box had a red circle with an X in it and you could only click 'ok' in the box.

There is also no side bar for the web cam and I have not ever used it.Can someone help me.

1. Always give the full model designation of your computer when you post here. See the label on the bottom.

2. Make that error occur and note the computer-clock time.

Open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc), expand Windows Logs, and inspect the Application log for the corresponding event (at that exact time).

Don't try to copy anything from there. Double-click the event and then click the Copy button. That will put the details on your clipboard.

Paste it without editing into your reply - except we want only what's above the line Event Xml:.
