I place the disc in, it makes lots of noises, but never starts. It's a game (Sims).

I have a satellite L505D-GS6000.

I tried that fix it thing, says it's fixed but the game will not load.

Please help, very frustrated!

Try other discs to make sure the drive is working, and try ths disc in other computers to make sure the disc works.
