I bought a new laptop 4 months ago,  its a Toshiba Satellite, everything was fine, but now out of the blue the numbers keypad to the right hand side have gone haywire, when i press 1 i get 16, when i press 2 i get 2+, when i press 3 i get /3 and so on and so on any ideas? and no i've not dropped it, banged it or spilt anything on it.

Nothing I'm aware of should cause the number keys not to work properly. You can turn some of the letter keys into a numeric keypad by hitting the Num Lock key. But the number keys on the right side should always stay the same. My thinking is that you have a hardware problem. After 4 months the computer is still under warranty. Call the Call Center and arrange to get it repaired.
