Computer Troubleshooting

I have a satellite a665-s6098 and for some reason the media control buttons don't light up anymore after i press the button for them (eco utility, wifi, play/pause, mute, volume up/down, satellite sign). I was wondering what i would need to download in order to make this light up function work again. It is a slight problem, but it annoys the crap out me since it is my laptop and i want its full potential. Thanks!

Before downloading anything, first I would try a System Reset that has cured this problem for lots of folks.

Turn off computer. Remove all attachments and battery. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.  Attach Power and insert battery.  Start computer and tap F2 at the Toshiba splash screen to get in BIOS.  Press F9 to setup system defaults. Answer Yes. Press F10 to Save Configuration Changes and Exit.  Answer Yes to complete process.  The computer will restart.

This is the only thing that works; after trying most every other "fixes" mentioned.  Just follow step by step!!  (I'm a 63 year old grandma; and had no problem doing this.)

Hadn't contacted Toshiba about it; but was near to it.  Wonder why they don't know this simple fix for this problem.  Granted there could be other issues.  But, from what I read here, most could benefit from this easy fix.
