Hi,

My computer boots normally when I switch it on but the screen is blank at the password entering screen. I have to re-boot it again several time to have the screen on.  I noticed if I unplug the mains connector from the laptop, plug it again, sometimes the display works again!

As a workaround, should I choose Hibernate instead of Switch off?

This sounds like it may be due to hardware failure. I'd suggest contacting customer support at (800) 457-7777.
