Computer Troubleshooting

I recently updated the BIOS for my Portege R835-56X to v 3.40.  It disabled several programs, including Lotus Symphony.  It won't let me downgrade the BIOS.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, to no effect. Oddly, it did not disable Open Office, which is basically the same program.

Any solutions?

Did you try to go back to V3.10? There are also 9 other earlier versions available.

I tried--it will not allow me to roll back.  And the instructions/notes for 3.40 says it cannot be rolled back.
